New Lucas Retail Bulb Range
Long before the Ford Model T, even before the first Mercedes ‘horseless carriage’, there was Lucas.
Established in 1872, the same year that the first petrol engine was patented; Lucas has had a profound impact throughout the history of vehicle lighting.
Today the iconic Lucas brand is still the first choice for many automotive aftermarket professionals and Lucas bulbs can be found in motor factors, garages and workshops throughout the globe.
With Lucas single boxed and trade (10) packed bulbs continuing to perform exceptionally well for motor factors and garages; Lucas Vision Licensee, ELTA Automotive have turned their attention to the brands retail offering.

Lucas wiper blades were the first products to benefit from the retail focus and response has been phenomenal, with demand exceeding initial expectations. ELTA has now relaunched the Lucas retail clammed bulb range and like the wipers, it has seen substantial improvements starting with the core product. Following recent improvements made to the boxed bulb range, the retail offering now boasts improved E1 marked halogen bulbs. E1 marked bulbs are certified in Germany, a country highly regarded for its stringent testing.
The range has also been carefully reconsidered using vehicle parc data and customer feedback. All of the best-selling bulbs remain whilst some increasingly obsolete references make way for rising stars like the LLB711 H11 headlight bulb, the LLB385 red rear lamp, the capless LLB955 and the in-demand LLB501A amber indicator to name just a few. The result is a highly effective, profit generating range, ready to meet customer demand.
With these strong foundations in place, the most noticeable difference is the striking new packaging design. The iconic green Lucas logo sits loud and proud playing to the brands enviable levels of recognition. Whilst clear referencing above the euro slot makes display and identification easier than ever.
Finger shredding plastic clamshells have been replaced with a new user and environmentally friendly cardboard solution. The card outer offers a premium tactile finish that encases a plastic blister to maintain the highest levels of protection for the bulb in a retail environment.
Recently conducted research showed that Lucas sits amongst the most recognisable brands in the automotive industry.
